About the Opportunity:
This is an opportunity for a Registered Nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in Oakland, CA. As a member of the NICU team, you provide critical care to neonates and infants requiring specialized support. You conduct thorough assessments, administer medications, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care. As this is a full-time contract position, you rotate between units as required and take on varying shifts, including 12-hour days.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $51.70 to $61.10 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized care plans for neonates.
- Administer treatments including medications, blood products, and anticonvulsants.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals in the PICU and pediatric acute care units.
- Monitor and document patient progress and response to therapies.
- Stay informed on the latest NICU research and practice advancements.
Job Requirements:
- Current CA RN License.
- Certifications in AHA BLS, PALS, and NRP.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in level 3 & 4 NICU settings.
- PICU experience.
- Experience with Epic charting system.
