About the Opportunity:
This contract opportunity involves providing comprehensive oncology nursing care to adult patients at a dedicated cancer care center. The role entails direct patient care, administration of chemotherapy, and patient/family education and support. It is a full-time contract position with hours from Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00, with a 30-minute lunch break and no weekend shifts.
The estimated base pay for these positions is $49.50 to $58.50 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting patient assessments and developing oncology care plans.
- Providing chemotherapy and other oncology-specific treatments and education.
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate care.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress using Epic charting system.
- Staying informed on the latest oncology research and treatment protocols.
Job Requirements:
- Completion of BLS AHA certification and ONS chemotherapy and biotherapy provider certification.
- Minimum 2-3 years of outpatient oncology experience.
- Proficiency in Epic charting system preferred.
- Skills required include access management, chemotherapy administration, and patient support.
