About the Opportunity:
This non-clinical position as a Supply Chain Associate involves computerized order entry, distribution of supplies, linen, equipment, and handling shipping and receiving of hospital merchandise. You perform inventory management processes, meet supply needs with prompt delivery, and ensure accuracy of issues and the good working order and availability of equipment. This is a full-time contract position, requiring weekend shifts.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $18.15 to $21.45 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Distribute and restock supplies and/or linen according to established policies.
- Use Supply Chain technologies like Pyxis and SAP to document movement of supplies.
- Perform regular cycle counts to ensure stock level accuracy.
- Check expiration dates on supplies, document, and discard expired products.
- Inspect shipments and enter goods receipts into SAP, filing packing slips.
- Report shipment discrepancies to onsite management.
- Prepare and ship out vendor returns and rotate stock in all areas.
- Move and stock supplies to appropriate shelving locations post-receiving.
- Transport shipments from loading dock to stockroom and deliver packages.
- Participate in mid-year and year-end inventory counts.
- Ensure STAT orders are completed according to service level agreement.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service when addressing supply questions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in all Supply Chain work areas.
- Provide recommendations on operational efficiency improvements.
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- One year of experience in distribution, warehousing, shipping, receiving, logistics, material handling, customer service, inventory control, or a comparable service line.
- Experience in a fast-paced, customer service environment preferred.
- Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
