About the Opportunity:
This role involves providing care to pediatric patients at a hospital facility in Oakland, CA. Nurses conduct assessments, administer medications, and monitor patient vitals and progress in a 10-hour day shift with variable start times. As part of the role, nurses may also rotate to Pre-Op or PACU units. This is a full-time contract position.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $53.35 to $63.05 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments and create individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and therapies according to care plans.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including respiratory services and social services, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress and any changes in condition.
- Stay informed on best practices and research in pediatric care.
Job Requirements:
- Current CA RN License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in pediatric clinical settings.
- Ability to float to other UCSF facilities.
- Preferred experience in CPAN.
