About the Opportunity:
This full-time contract position invites Registered Nurses to provide skilled labor and delivery care to obstetric patients. Located in Utica, NY, the role involves caring for ante-partum, intra-partum, and post-partum patients as well as newborns. The unit consists of 18 beds, with specific areas for triage, antepartum, operating rooms for c-sections, recovery, and labor & delivery. Shifts run from 6:30 AM to 7 PM, with floating required. Nurses dress in ceil blue scrubs.
The estimated base pay for these positions is $51.43 to $60.78 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and create care plans for obstetric patients.
- Provide education and support to patients and families.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to coordinate inpatient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress using EMR systems like EPIC/Stork.
- Stay informed on the latest practices in labor and delivery and neonatal care.
Job Requirements:
- Current AHA ACLS, BLS, NRP certifications.
- Active NY RN license with verification, and all other RN licenses.
- 4-5 years of experience in labor and delivery settings.
- Documented travel healthcare experience.
- Experience with EMR systems, specifically EPIC/Stork.
- Ability to float as required.
