About the Opportunity:
The RN in Labor & Delivery provides care to patients throughout their childbirth experience, including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and couplet care. Responsibilities include circulating during normal spontaneous vaginal deliveries (NSVDs) and C-sections. This is a full-time contract position requiring night shifts.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $53.35 to $63.05 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and create care plans for laboring patients.
- Provide support during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress throughout the childbirth experience.
- Stay informed on the latest practices in obstetric care.
Job Requirements:
- Current RN license with BLS and NRP certifications.
- 3+ years of L&D experience in a high-risk facility and couplet care experience required.
- Experience in an academic setting is preferred.
- Proficiency in charting with Epic.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
