About the Opportunity:
Join our team as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, providing urgent and critical care to patients experiencing conditions such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure. This full-time contract position demands expertise in handling a diverse patient demographic, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatric patients. The role operates on a demanding shift from 2:30 PM to 3:00 AM, requiring adaptability and the capacity to float as necessary between different units.
The estimated base pay for these positions is $51.43 to $60.78 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and create care plans for emergency department patients.
- Provide acute care management utilizing specialty equipment such as Rapid Infuser and Arctic Sun.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Monitor and document patient progress effectively.
- Stay informed on the latest research and best practices in emergency care.
Job Requirements:
- Current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications.
- Active NY License and all RN licenses verified with NURSYS.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting with pediatric experience.
- Documented travel experience, including EPIC EMR experience.
- Proficiency in charge capabilities and ability to adapt to floating.
