About the Opportunity:
This RN opportunity in the Emergency Department focuses on providing urgent and critical care to patients of all ages, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. This part-time contract position involves working in a fast-paced environment with diverse patient diagnoses such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $53.99 to $63.81 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting comprehensive emergency assessments and creating immediate care plans.
- Providing advanced life support and emergency care, including administration of required drips and medications.
- Collaborating with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
- Monitoring and documenting patient's condition and response to treatment.
- Staying informed on the latest practices in emergency medicine and critical care.
Job Requirements:
- Current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications.
- Active NY RN License with verification via NURSYS Report.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department, with some pediatric experience.
- Demonstrated experience with travel nursing.
- Proficiency with EMR systems, specifically EPIC.
- Documentation to include a skills checklist matching the emergency specialty.
