About the Opportunity:
This full-time contract position offers Registered Nurses the opportunity to provide specialized care in a Med Surg Oncology unit. The role involves caring for patients with cancer, conducting assessments, and administering chemotherapy. The position includes working closely with oncology teams and utilizing EPIC EMR to maintain comprehensive patient records.
The estimated base pay for these positions is $48.34 to $57.13 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) are finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and create individualized care plans.
- Provide chemotherapy and cancer-related education to patients.
- Collaborate with oncology and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate care.
- Monitor and document patient progress and response to treatments.
- Stay informed on the latest oncology research and practices.
Job Requirements:
- Active RN License in NY and all relevant states.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Med Surg/Oncology settings.
- Travel experience required.
- AHA BLS, NIHSS, and Chemo Certification required.
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR systems.
