About the Opportunity:
Join a dynamic Emergency Department team as an RN in Utica, NY, focusing on providing emergency care to a diverse patient population, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatric patients. This full-time contract position requires expertise in managing cases such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $48.85 to $57.73 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and create care plans for patients experiencing emergency health issues.
- Provide emergency therapy and education to patients and families.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate care within the Emergency Department.
- Monitor and document patient progress accurately in the EMR system, utilizing EPIC expertise.
- Stay informed on emergency care research and best practices.
Job Requirements:
- Current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department, with some pediatric exposure.
- Previous travel experience documented in the resume.
- Two recent ED Charge/Manager RN references.
- Skills Checklist matching emergency specialty.
- Active NY RN License verified through NURSYS, with all RN licenses listed.
- EMR experience with EPIC required.
