About the Opportunity:
The Registered Nurse in the Labor & Delivery department provides comprehensive care to expectant mothers, ensuring a safe and supportive environment during the birth process. This position involves working in Labor & Delivery and Postpartum units, with the flexibility to float to the Perinatal Department as needed. This is a full-time contract position.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $53.35 to $63.05 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments and creating care plans for laboring mothers.
- Providing support during childbirth and postpartum care.
- Collaborating with obstetricians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress using appropriate systems.
- Staying informed on best practices in obstetric care and patient safety.
Job Requirements:
- Must have permanent CA RN License.
- BLS and NRP certifications required.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in Labor & Delivery.
- BSN or MSN preferred.
- Proficient in labor and delivery procedures.
