About the Opportunity:
This is a part-time contract position for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department. The role involves providing care to patients with a variety of diagnoses, including stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure. Nurses care for newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatric patients in a 64-bed unit, which includes 2 triage stations, 40 acute beds, 6 super track beds, 2 trauma beds, 10 CDU beds, and 6 psych beds. Nurses wear navy blue scrubs and may be required to float as needed. Charge capability is highly preferred.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $48.85 to $57.73 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting assessments and creating care plans for emergency patients.
- Utilizing specialized equipment such as Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun.
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress in the EMR system, EPIC.
- Staying informed on best practices for handling emergency cases.
Job Requirements:
- Current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications (TNCC must be in hand).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Emergency Department settings with pediatric experience.
- Travel experience required.
- Active NY license and all RN licenses verified via NURSYS report.
- Proficiency in EMR systems, particularly EPIC.
