About the Opportunity:
This contract position for a Physician in Gastroenterology at Riddle Hospital involves providing specialized care to adult hospitalized patients. Responsibilities include hospital consult services, overnight out-of-hospital call, and inpatient endoscopy. Coverage is required all month with about 20 patients seen per day. This is a full-time contract position.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $2926.00 to $3458.00 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting patient assessments and creating care plans relating to gastrointestinal issues.
- Providing treatments including Egd and colonoscopy procedures.
- Collaborating with Advanced Practice Providers and endoscopy staff to coordinate patient care.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress in EMR systems EPIC and Provation.
Job Requirements:
- Board Certification in Gastroenterology.
- Possession of a valid PA medical license.
- DEA certification required.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a hospital setting.
- Skills in Egd and colonoscopy procedures.
- Local candidates preferred, but full travel coverage available.
