About the Opportunity:
The RN Operating Room position involves providing specialized care to pediatric patients undergoing surgical procedures. As a full-time contract role, the nurse plays a crucial role in preparing operating rooms, assisting surgeons during operations, and ensuring a safe environment for patients. This opportunity encompasses working 10-hour shifts with variable start times across Monday to Friday, including occasional weekends. Flexibility to float to other facilities is also part of the role.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $56.65 to $66.95 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting pre-operative assessments and creating care plans.
- Providing care during operations, including supporting surgeons.
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams within the hospital.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress before, during, and after surgery.
- Staying informed on pediatric surgical best practices and developments.
Job Requirements:
- CA RN License, BSN.
- Current certifications: BLS, PALS.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in pediatric general OR settings.
- Experience with Trauma Level I settings required.
- Competency with Epic charting system.
- Preferred certification: CNOR.
- Preferred experience in CVOR, ambulatory OR, or trauma settings.
