About the Opportunity:
This is a contract position for a Registered Nurse specializing in PACU at an outpatient center. The role involves providing postoperative care to pediatric patients in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include monitoring recovery from anesthesia, performing clinical assessments, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The position is full-time with 10-hour shifts.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $53.35 to $63.05 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments and create effective care plans.
- Provide education to patients and families about postoperative care and recovery.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress effectively using the EPIC charting system.
- Stay informed on best practices and protocols in pediatric postoperative care.
Job Requirements:
- Current CA RN License and BSN degree.
- AHA BLS and PALS certifications.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Pediatric PACU/Pre Op settings.
- Experience in Trauma Level II centers required, Level I preferred.
