About the Opportunity
Our client, a leading alternative investment firm, is seeking a hands-on Associate Vice President to own and strengthen its General Ledger and operational accounting function as the business continues to scale. This hybrid role sits with their team in Los Angeles, CA.
The annual base salary range is $170,000 to $185,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee month-end and quarter-end close, journal entry review, account reconciliations, expense allocations, and balance sheet integrity within a SOX 404 control environment
- Prepare variance analyses, oversee the quarterly G&A expense forecast, and use GL analytics to help drive business decisions
- Manage a growing team of onshore and offshore staff across time zones
- Partner with external and internal auditors
- Contribute to special projects including capital transactions, acquisitions, and process automation
Job Requirements
- 10+ years of accounting experience with a strong General Ledger foundation, including Big 4 or similar public accounting experience and time at a publicly traded company
- An active CPA
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Hands-on Oracle Fusion experience, and Power BI skills are required
