About the Opportunity
Our client is a leading nonprofit in New York City dedicated to providing comprehensive support and services to children and families in the community. They are in search of a temp-to-perm Benefits Manager to report to their SVP of HR Strategy. With a rich history spanning several decades, the company and its 1000+ professionals are committed to fostering the well-being, development, and success of every child they serve.
This position’s pay range is $30 to $33 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information
- Perform quality checks of benefits-related data
- Assist employees regarding benefits claim issues and plan changes
- Distribute all benefits enrollment materials and determines eligibility
- Enroll employees with carriers and process life status changes
- Process and administer all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability and FMLA
- Effectively interpret FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities
- Respond to 401(k) inquiries from managers and employees relating to enrollments, plan changes and contribution amounts
- Manage the annual catch-up contribution enrollment
Job Requirements
- Bachelors Degree
- Experience with Corporate and Union Benefits
- 3+ years of HRIS experience
- Experience with DayForce preferred
- Microsoft Office proficiency
