About the Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated Endoscopy Charge Nurse to lead our client in Long Island’s medical facility and provide exceptional patient care. As the Endoscopy Charge Nurse, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient workflow, coordinating patient care, and fostering a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing and a commitment to delivering high-quality care.
The annual base salary range is $90,000 to $120,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to plan, implement, and evaluate patient procedures and treatments
- Provide direct patient care, including pre-procedure assessments, monitoring during procedures, and post-procedure recovery
- Ensure compliance with infection control, safety protocols, and regulatory standards within the endoscopy unit
- Serve as a resource and mentor to nursing staff, providing guidance, support, and education on endoscopy procedures, equipment, and patient care practices
- Assist in staff orientation, training, and ongoing professional development initiatives
- Monitor and assess patient outcomes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including patient records, procedure logs, and departmental reports
Job Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in endoscopy or a related procedural area preferred, not required
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational abilities
