About the Opportunity

Our client is a New York City-based financial services company that is in search of a contract Equity Admin. They are looking for a true team player, with great interpersonal skills, strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset!

The base pay for this position is $38 to $50 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee and administer the company’s equity compensation strategies, encompassing stock options, restricted stock units (RSUs), and employee stock purchase plans (ESPPs), ensuring adherence to plan documents, internal policies, and pertinent regulations.
  • Collaborate with Legal and HR divisions to implement equity plans in new entities, ensuring alignment with local legal statutes and regulations
  • Maintain precise records of equity grants, exercises, and associated transactions, generating comprehensive reports for internal and external reporting needs
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory mandates, including SEC regulations for publicly traded entities and IRS regulations concerning tax withholding and equity-related matters
  • Utilize equity administration software to oversee and monitor equity grants, exercises, and other plan-related activities
  • Address employee inquiries pertaining to equity compensation plans and transactions
  • Partner with legal, HR, and external providers to guarantee alignment of equity programs with company policies and legal prerequisites
  • Accurately calculate and withhold equity-related taxes, support complex tax calculations for relocated employees, and collaborate with global payroll departments to ensure timely tax filings and reporting
  • Support the company’s ongoing accounting, reporting, and operational needs, including period closing workflows, proper recording of entries and accruals, and accurate maintenance of equity entries in the ERP
  • Assist the tax team with various calculations, including equity-related considerations like Deferred Tax Assets (DTA) and GILTI
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends and variances, prepare insightful reports and presentations for senior management
  • Assist in the preparation of the company’s Financial Reports and Proxy Statement, ensuring appropriate equity disclosures and compliance with local regulations
  • Support the annual/quarterly audit process and perform internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and SOX requirements
  • Foster ongoing communication and collaboration with finance teams internationally

 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA
  • 4-6 years’ experience as a Finance Manager at a high-tech company
  • Previous experience managing Equity in a public company
  • Familiarity with equity compensation regulations, taxes, and accounting principles
  • Efficiency with E*TRADE equity management software and Microsoft Dynamics NAV
  • Microsoft Excel
