About the Opportunity
We are working with an NY-based single-family office that invests in businesses and managers across a wide range of assets and geographies. They are seeking to hire a Family Office Accounting Analyst to support the CFO and COO with critical investment reporting and analysis. The ideal candidate will serve as the driver of all hedge fund, private equity, real estate, securities, and other asset reporting.
The base pay for this role is $55 to $75 an hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.

- Annual real estate portfolio holdings
- Portfolio Updates
- Additions and updates to the firm’s holdings across marketable securities, private equity, hedge funds, and real estate
- Valuation and key attributes for private holdings
- Review
- Records of the firm’s portfolio holdings in our investment reporting platform, including public equities, strategic holdings, hedge funds, private equity, debt instruments, and cash and cash equivalents
- Financial statements on a line-item basis, including cash flows, balance sheets, budgets, and income statements
- Compliance reporting associated with outstanding credit facilities
- Real estate distributions, sales, and other transactions
- Estate planning partnerships and underlying reports
- Preparation
- Data Management
- Ensure data integrity across our financial reporting systems
- Improve processes for data collection, organization, and distribution
- Address data corrections with internal and external service providers
- Serve as first point of contact for public securities reporting on a daily basis
- Forecasting
- Cash flow forecasts and liquidity management reporting
- Private equity cash flow forecasts for commitments, capital calls, and distributions
- Monthly budget reforecasts
- Ad Hoc Analysis
- Reevaluate and improve bespoke reports for family stakeholders
- Assist team with tax modeling and accounting requests
- Generate analyses related to investment strategy and portfolio construction
Job Requirements
- 4-12 years of fund accounting, management company, or family office accounting
- Software experience must include: Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat
- Strong Excel skills
- Familiarity with General Ledger and Budgeting software encouraged but not required
- CPA or CFA-track candidates are welcome
- Familiarity with working with senior leaders and executives
