Internal Communications Specialist

About the Opportunity

Our client is a healthcare company that focuses on mental health through quality services and community programs. The team is actively looking for an Internal Communications Specialist to join their team. The ideal hire will have strong writing skills, will be proficient in Mailchimp and will communicate initiatives to elevate the brand. This is an excellent contract opportunity for a skilled writer to showcase their work!

The base pay for this position is $27 to $30 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Create, coordinate, and refine compelling content across diverse internal communication platforms, such as email newsletters
  • Analyze and assess communication metrics to gauge the efficacy of internal messaging
  • Assist in directing, reviewing, generating, scheduling, and disseminating internal communication initiatives aligned with organizational priorities, fostering employee involvement, and reinforcing our cultural ethos
  • Offer creative direction and input to graphic designers to ensure adherence to branding standards in communications
  • Compile data on communication endeavors and transform them into actionable insights and recommendations
  • Craft communication strategies, schedules, and plans to bolster company endeavors and pivotal engagement initiatives
  • Address cross-functional communication requirements pertaining to equity and inclusion programs, marketing and promotions, as well as development initiatives

 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communication, English, public relations, journalism, or a related field
  • 2-3 years of professional work experience working in a complex organization’s internal communication and/or department
  • Experience operating email management programs like MailChimp
  • Knowledge of Asana and Canva a plus
  • Experience creating reports and tracking metrics
