About the Opportunity
Our client is a leading provider of comprehensive healthcare services, committed to delivering high-quality care to their patients. They are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented MDS Coordinator (RN) to join their team in Secaucus, New Jersey, and ensure the accuracy and compliance of MDS assessments.
The annual base salary range is $80,000 to $110,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage the entire MDS assessment process, including data collection, documentation, and timely submissions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update individualized care plans for residents based on MDS assessments
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations related to MDS and resident care
- Review, audit, and monitor MDS assessments to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Train and educate clinical staff on the MDS process, care planning, and relevant regulations
- Participate in care conferences, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical audits
- Utilize knowledge of ICD-10 coding and reimbursement guidelines for accurate documentation
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry changes and best practices related to MDS assessments and long-term care
Job Requirements
- Active RN license in NJ.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in MDS coordination and long-term care
- Strong understanding of MDS 3.0, ICD-10 coding, and federal/state regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and MDS software
