About the Opportunity
Our client is an esteemed non-profit organization and educational institution that provides a wide spectrum of services to children born with intellectual delays. They are seeking an Occupational Therapist to assess conditions, determine appropriate treatment plans, and implement those individualized treatment plans to aid children in performing their daily routines independently. The OT will be working with the children in a very supportive, warm, and friendly environment. As one of the renowned organizations in New York City, their programs are led by extraordinary, seasoned clinicians that will provide hands-on training and orientation for new staff.
Job Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and treat fine motor delays and disabilities
- Develop and implement individualized plans to meet an individual child’s needs and abilities
- Collaborate with parents and multidisciplinary team of rehabilitation professionals and special educators to develop and modify program activities that improve occupational skills
- Follow Individualized Service Plan, plan ongoing treatment, and interpret goals and treatment
- Prepare session notes and progress reports
Job Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
- New York State Licensed Occupational Therapist
- Must be able to commit to 32+ hours per week
- $48 – $50/hr pay. Client is open to negotiation
- Must be able to commute to the Bronx
- Prior experience is preferred, but not required
