About the Opportunity
Our client is a leading healthcare institution based in Brooklyn, and they provide oncology care to their diverse patient population. They are seeking a compassionate and motivated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join their oncology team. This position is open to both experienced practitioners and new graduates who possess a strong commitment to oncology care.
The annual base salary range is $100,000 to $150,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with cancer, including medical history review, physical examinations, and symptom management
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising physician and multidisciplinary team
- Perform procedures such as bone marrow biopsies, lumbar punctures, and central line insertions under the guidance of the supervising physician
- Monitor patient response to treatment, adjust therapy as needed, and provide ongoing education and support to patients and their families
- Participate in patient rounds, tumor boards, and interdisciplinary meetings to contribute to care planning and coordination
- Document patient encounters accurately and timely in the electronic medical record system, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and institutional protocols
- Stay informed about the latest advancements in oncology research, treatment modalities, and supportive care interventions
- Collaborate with community resources and support services to facilitate continuity of care and enhance patient outcomes
- Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical research projects, and professional development activities
Job Requirements
- Master’s degree in Nursing (NP) or Physician Assistant Studies (PA) from an accredited program
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of New York
- Board certification as an ANP, FNP, or PA required
- Strong interest in oncology care with a genuine commitment to improving the lives of patients with cancer
- New graduates are welcome to apply; mentorship and training will be provided
- Proficiency in Russian language preferred, but not required
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment
- Demonstrated critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
