About the Opportunity
We are partnered with a global private investment firm that is in search of a contract PE Fund Accountant to join their team in New York City. The firm primarily focuses on buyout and growth capital investments within the power and energy industry. This PE Fund Accountant will be dedicated to working on various accounting, tax, cash management and investor service related functions for the company. Qualified candidates must be able to work independently, with minimal supervision, in a fast paced environment.
The base pay range for this position is $80 to $100 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Enter financial information into the firm’s house investor reporting and accounting system
- Produce quarterly investment reports from the database
- Book journal entries in the accounting database
- Produce general ledger reports from the database
- Generate investor correspondence
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements for various Fund entities
- Provide auditors with necessary supporting documentation in connection with the year end audit
- Assist with the preparation of the Fund entity tax returns and tax planning projects
- Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive and confidential issues
- Assist in a wide variety of projects as assigned
- Other reasonably related duties as assigned
