About the Opportunity:
The Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) Float Pool position provides anesthesia care across multiple locations within the hospital setting, with Moses Cone designated as the main facility. This full-time or part-time contract role involves delivering anesthesia services to a diverse patient population spanning all ages, and includes coverage of up to 60+ cases per day in various departments such as general surgery, orthopedics, gynecology, and more. Providers have the ability to float as required and operate in a well-equipped environment that uses EPIC for EMR and includes Drager anesthesia machines and Philips monitoring. Work shifts are typically from 7 AM to 3 PM.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $154.00 to $182.00 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough patient assessments and creating tailored anesthesia care plans.
- Administering anesthesia for a variety of surgical and diagnostic procedures.
- Collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to ensure patient safety.
- Monitoring patient responses to anesthesia and adjusting as necessary.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of anesthesia best practices and equipment.
Job Requirements:
- Board Certification in Nurse Anesthesiology (CRNA).
- State license for North Carolina required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience; new graduates will not be considered.
- Certification in ACLS & PALS required.
- Preferable skills include experience with heart, vascular, neuro, and pediatrics.
