About the Opportunity:
The Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) position focuses on providing anesthesia services to a diverse patient population at a Level 1 trauma center. This part-time contract role requires flexibility in scheduling, with coverage in various settings including the main OR, outpatient surgery center, and endoscopy center. CRNAs collaborate closely with attending anesthesiologists and anesthesia residents. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, delivering anesthesia care, and ensuring patient safety during procedures. CRNAs also document anesthesia details and patient responses.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $143.00 to $169.00 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct anesthesia assessments and create care plans.
- Provide anesthesia care during surgeries and procedures, except for open heart/thoracic, pediatrics, obstetrics, and peripheral nerve blocks.
- Collaborate with attending anesthesiologists and anesthesia residents to coordinate care.
- Monitor and document patient progress and anesthesia details.
- Stay informed on anesthesia practices and protocols.
Job Requirements:
- ACLS and BLS certifications must be valid through the AHA.
- Minimum 2 years of experience, preferably in academic settings or Level 1 or 2 trauma centers.
- COVID and Flu vaccines are required with no exemptions.
- Board Certification and Virginia License required.
- Experience with EMR systems, specifically Epic, preferred.
