About the Opportunity:
This contract position for an OB/GYN physician at the Orange Coast Medical Center involves providing comprehensive female healthcare services. Responsibilities include outpatient office-based procedures, handling clinic duties, and managing call responsibilities. Preferred candidates show willingness to handle the full scope of OB/GYN care, including deliveries and high-risk cases.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $146.30 to $172.90 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting routine and problem-focused OB/GYN visits, including initial visits, postpartum, and incision checks.
- Providing office-based procedures such as biopsies, IUD/Nexplanon insertion and removal, and others like Leep and colposcopy.
- Collaborating with midwives and laborist groups for coordinated delivery and call coverage.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress across a range of healthcare issues.
- Staying informed on current healthcare practices and utilizing Epic for patient documentation.
Job Requirements:
- Valid and unrestricted CA medical license.
- Board Certification in OB/GYN.
- DEA certification.
- BLS or ACLS certification.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in the OB/GYN field.
- Completion of a 4-year accredited OB/GYN residency program.
- Previous experience with Epic preferred.
