About the Opportunity:
Materials Processor in Transportation/Logistics provides essential services to support hospital operations by managing and distributing supplies, materials, and equipment. This full-time contract position involves working on-site from 8 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday, and from 7 am to 3 pm every other Saturday. This role ensures efficient supply chain management for patient care departments and assists the Purchasing department as necessary.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $22.00 to $26.00 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Order, receive, unpack, shelve, and distribute supplies, materials, and equipment to all hospital departments.
- Distribute and replenish supplies, materials, and equipment to patient care departments.
- Maintain Receiving and Storeroom inventory in a clean and orderly condition.
- Prepare and transport medical/surgical supply carts to each nursing station daily.
- Monitor the supply usage of each item to ascertain any increased usage and refill sufficient product.
- Handle medications and access areas where medications are stored for stocking purposes.
- Receive packages from shipping carriers, ensuring proper inspection, tracking, and logging procedures.
- Deliver supplies to ordering departments, obtaining signatures to verify acceptance of supplies.
- Fill required orders and transport supplies to various hospital departments.
- Pack and ship merchandise returned for credit, exchange, or repair and maintain all required receipts and records.
- Receive and transport incoming hazardous substances, complying with safety policies.
- Utilize Hospital Computer system effectively.
- Provide excellent service to patients and hospital personnel.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience in stockroom and receiving desirable.
- Ability to effectively communicate with hospital personnel.
- Experience with Lawson software preferable.
