About the Opportunity:
This is a full-time contract position for a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) in San Francisco, CA. The role actively involves providing post-operative care, monitoring anesthesia recovery, and managing pain for patients across adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The RN works an 8-hour day shift, with responsibilities including airway management and the ability to work in pre-op and extended care units.
The estimated base pay for these positions is $52.80 to $62.40 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) are finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting post-operative assessments and creating individualized care plans.
- Providing patient education regarding post-anesthesia care and recovery.
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress through recovery stages.
- Staying informed on current practices in anesthesia recovery and pain management.
Job Requirements:
- Current CA RN License.
- AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in PACU settings.
- Knowledge of airway management, anesthesia recovery, and pain management.
- CCRN or CPAN certification preferred.
- 2 years of experience in critical care preferred.
- Must be able to float to other units and facilities as needed.
