About the Opportunity:
The RN Clinic position provides compassionate care to patients in an outpatient oncology setting. This role involves direct patient care, administering treatments such as chemotherapy, and coordinating multidisciplinary care plans with other medical professionals. This is a full-time contract position.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $52.25 to $61.75 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and create individualized care plans for oncology patients.
- Administer chemotherapy and supportive therapies.
- Collaborate with oncologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
- Monitor and document patient progress and response to treatments.
- Stay informed on current oncology nursing practices and research.
- Provide patient and family education and support.
- Participate in telephone triage for patient inquiries and follow-ups.
Job Requirements:
- Current CA RN License.
- AHA BLS certification.
- Minimum of 3 years oncology experience, preferably in Med/Surg Onc settings.
- 5 years of RN experience.
- Ability to float to other UCSF facilities.
- BSN degree required.
- Experience with Epic charting system required.
- Preferred certifications: OCN.
- Preferred experience in telephone triage nursing and outpatient oncology nursing for at least 2 years.
- Teaching hospital experience required.
