About the Opportunity:
This opportunity involves providing expert care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). This is a full-time contract position. The ICU RN manages complex medical equipment and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to provide optimal patient care. Floating to various departments and UCSF facilities is required, ensuring flexibility and comprehensive patient coverage.
The estimated base pay for this position is $68.75 to $81.25 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from the posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and create individualized care plans.
- Provide advanced cardiovascular and critical care therapies, including ECMO and IABP management.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate care plans.
- Monitor and document patient progress critically and accurately.
- Stay informed on advanced critical care research and best practices.
Job Requirements:
- CA RN License and BSN.
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Minimum 4 years of recent ICU experience, including ECMO management without perfusion support.
- Experience with devices such as IABP, Impella, LVAD, CRRT, and PA Catheters.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and independent critical care management abilities.
