About the Opportunity
This opportunity involves providing critical care services in an ICU setting to patients with complex needs. Responsibilities include managing patients with ECMO, Impella, LVAD, and other advanced support devices. This is a full-time contract position.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $68.75 to $81.25 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Conducting comprehensive assessments and creating care plans for critical care patients.
- Providing specialized therapies and education for patients with advanced cardiovascular and critical care needs.
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, including pulmonologists and cardiothoracic specialists, to coordinate patient care.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress and responses to therapies.
- Staying informed on the latest practices in cardiovascular critical care and ECMO management.
Job Requirements
- CA RN License, BSN, AHA BLS, and ACLS certifications.
- Minimum 4 years of recent ICU experience, with ECMO experience within the last 6 months to 1 year.
- Experience in caring for ECMO patients as a bedside RN and as a primary responsibility without dedicated perfusion support.
- Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
- Experience in CVICU/CTICU/CCU.
