About the Opportunity:
This contract RN position in the ICU involves providing specialized care to patients with complex medical needs. RNs in this role manage and monitor patients requiring intensive nursing care, collaborate with healthcare teams to implement care plans, and operate advanced medical equipment such as CRRT and Prismaflex. Experience with heart conditions is highly desired as it enhances patient care delivery in this unit. This is a full-time contract position.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $51.43 to $60.78 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough patient assessments and creating individualized care plans.
- Providing dynamic care and monitoring for critically ill patients.
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Operating specialized equipment including IABP, CRRT, and monitoring devices.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress according to established medical protocols.
Job Requirements:
- Current AHA ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in ICU, SICU, CTICU, Trauma ICU, MS ICU, or Neuro ICU settings.
- Experience in a travel nursing capacity (required).
- 4-5 years of overall ICU experience preferred.
- Proficiency with EMR systems, particularly EPIC.
- Active NY RN license and all other active RN licenses with verification via NURSYS report.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
