About the Opportunity:
Provide comprehensive nursing care in the operating room for pediatric patients at a premier children's hospital. This full-time contract position involves coordinating and delivering patient care across diverse cases, ensuring adherence to safety and procedural protocols. Engage in a variety of shifts based on departmental needs, with a schedule primarily from Monday to Friday and occasional weekends. The estimated base pay for these positions are $56.65 to $66.95 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of pediatric patients to create individualized care plans.
- Provide direct care and oversee various surgical procedures in the operating room.
- Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals for seamless patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and recovery procedures.
- Stay informed on the latest research and practices in pediatric surgery and related fields.
Job Requirements:
- California RN License and BSN required.
- Current certification in BLS and PALS.
- Minimum three years of experience in pediatric general OR settings.
- Experience with Epic charting systems required.
- Preferred experience in ambulatory OR, CVOR, general OR, trauma, and pediatric CVOR settings.
- Preferred certification: CNOR.
- Required experience in Trauma Level I facilities; preferred in Trauma Level II and community hospitals.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
