About the Opportunity:
This full-time RN, OR position involves providing surgical care to pediatric patients at a dedicated children's hospital. The role encompasses various operating room duties, including preparing patients for surgery, assisting during procedures, and providing post-operative care. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team ensures comprehensive care tailored to pediatric needs. This contract position offers flexibility in day shifts, starting variably at 0645, 0845, or 1045, with shifts rotating weekly. Occasional weekend work and the ability to float to other facilities within the healthcare system are required.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $56.65 to $66.95 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting pre-operative assessments and coordinating surgical care plans.
- Providing intraoperative nursing care during various surgical procedures.
- Collaborating with surgeons and anesthesiologists to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress post-surgery.
- Staying informed on pediatric surgical practices and protocols.
Job Requirements:
- CA RN License.
- BSN degree.
- BLS and PALS certifications.
- Minimum of three years of experience in pediatric general operating room settings.
- Experience with Epic charting system required.
- Preferred experience in ambulatory OR, CVOR, general OR, peds CVOR, trauma, and Charge roles.
- CNOR certification preferred.
- Required experience in Trauma Level I settings.
- Teaching hospital experience required.
