About the Opportunity
This part-time contract position provides physical therapy services to patients under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. The Physical Therapist Assistant helps in improving patient mobility and function through various therapeutic techniques and exercises. The assistant ensures adherence to rehabilitation goals and assists patients with post-surgical recovery or chronic conditions.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $26.40 to $31.20 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct physical therapy interventions according to established care plans.
- Provide guidance and education to patients and families on therapeutic exercises.
- Collaborate with physical therapists and healthcare team members to optimize patient rehabilitation.
- Monitor and document patient progress accurately in medical records.
- Stay informed on current physical therapy practices and techniques.
Job Requirements
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a similar healthcare setting.
- Current licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Illinois.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
