About the Opportunity
Our client, a dynamic and rapid growing organization, is seeking an Accounting Manager, Corporate Accounting to oversee accounts payable operations in their Fairfield County office. This leadership role is responsible for managing a team, ensuring compliance with AP processes and reporting, and driving process improvements in a high-volume, complex environment.
The annual base salary range is $115,000 to $120,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Supervise, develop, and mentor a team of three AP Specialists (offshore staff)
- Manage day-to-day accounts payable operations and expense report workflows, driving compliance and timely processing
- Monitor invoice approvals, expense report submissions, and manage weekly disbursements
- Oversee corporate credit card programs, recurring payments, and manage client refund requests
- Review and report on non-AR cash receipts, 1099 reporting, and escheatment compliance
- Establish, maintain, and track KPIs for AP, T&E, and payment processes; report results to management and build dashboards
- Create and maintain standard operating procedures and process documentation
- Align with AP and Expense teams on annual initiatives and continuous improvement opportunities
- Collaborate on special projects including system/ERP implementations and workflow enhancements
Job Requirements
- 6–10 years of progressive experience, with 2–5 years of supervisory or management experience in accounts payable within a large, complex organization
- Experience managing offshore or outsourced AP processes preferred
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- Certification in bookkeeping or accounts payable highly valued
- Strong proficiency in Excel, Smartsheet, and familiarity with Deltek ERP and Concur (or similar AP and expense reporting systems)
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
