About the Opportunity:
This contract position offers part-time opportunities for experienced physicians in a clinic/private practice setting. The physician provides care for patients with a focus on hematology and oncology, with approximately 60% hematology and 40% solid tumor mix. Physicians handle low-volume patient loads, averaging about 15 patients per day. Responsibilities include participating in tumor boards, overseeing infusion supervision under standard medical oncology models, and collaborating with Advanced Practice Providers (APP) for follow-up and supportive care visits.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $3520.00 to $4160.00 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments and create individualized care plans.
- Provide hematology and oncology care, with supervision based on standard practice models.
- Collaborate with APPs and RNs to coordinate patient care and manage follow-ups.
- Monitor and document patient progress within the Meditech EMR system.
- Participate in tumor boards to assist in interdisciplinary decision-making.
Job Requirements:
- Board Certification in Internal Medicine, Hematology, or Medical Oncology.
- Minimum two years of experience in related clinical settings.
- Recent patient-facing experience in hematology and oncology.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
