About the Opportunity
This Registered Nurse position in Radiology involves providing comprehensive care for patients undergoing various diagnostic imaging procedures, including CT scans, MRI, Nuclear Medicine scans, X-ray, and ultrasound. This full-time contract opportunity is within a fast-paced interventional radiology department of a level 1 Trauma center, catering to both inpatient and outpatient populations. Responsibilities include pre-procedural preparation, post-procedural recovery, and overnight observation care. The role requires collaboration within a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
The estimated base pay for these positions is $57.75 to $68.25 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-procedural assessments and create care plans for interventional radiology patients.
- Provide care to patients undergoing diagnostic imaging procedures, including pre and post-procedural recovery.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Monitor and document patient progress throughout their care in the radiology department.
- Stay informed on the latest practices and research in radiology nursing and patient care.
Job Requirements
- Possession of New York RN license (only).
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in Registered IR Nursing.
- Telemetry experience required.
- BLS and ACLS certification by the American Heart Association (only).
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
