About the Opportunity:
Join our dynamic team as a full-time RN in the Med Surg Orthopedic unit, where you provide specialized care for patients undergoing orthopedic trauma, spinal surgery, and other elective orthopedic procedures. This contract position offers both 36 or 48-hour workweeks with rotating day, evening, and night shifts, including weekends, holidays, and on-call responsibilities according to unit needs. The estimated base pay for these positions are $50.60 to $59.80 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments and create personalized care plans for orthopedic patients.
- Provide appropriate postoperative care, including patient education and support.
- Collaborate with medical professionals to ensure comprehensive care coordination.
- Monitor and document patient progress accurately and efficiently.
- Stay informed on the latest orthopedic research and surgical advancements.
Job Requirements:
- Must have a valid RN license in New York.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an orthopedic setting.
- Telemetry experience is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Experience in a level 1 trauma facility preferred.
