About the Opportunity:
The Level III Registered Nurse in Cardiology provides competent care based on established standards, demonstrating clinical practice, service excellence, professional development, and research and evidence-based practice. The nurse assumes an expanded role, which includes responsibilities as a charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member. The role involves working on a 25-bed unit caring for a variety of surgical patients, including thoracic, foregut, and plastics, as well as managing and caring for pulmonary hypertension patients. This is a full-time contract position with a rotating shift schedule including days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, on-call, and callback per unit needs.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $51.70 to $61.10 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting assessments and creating care plans for surgical and pulmonary hypertension patients.
- Providing care and management for patients with various medical equipment, tubes, lines, and drains.
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress and outcomes.
- Participating as a charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member when needed.
Job Requirements:
- RN License (ONLY NY Licenses accepted at this time).
- BLS Certification (American Heart Association ONLY).
- Minimum two years of telemetry experience.
- Two years of experience in a similar setting required.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
