About the Opportunity:
Provide comprehensive orthopedic care in a Med Surg Orthopedic unit, specializing in orthopedic trauma, spinal surgery, and elective orthopedic surgical diagnosis. Deliver patient-centered nursing care in a dynamic environment renowned for research and innovation. Function as a key member of a dedicated team. This is a full-time contract position.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $51.15 to $60.45 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and create care plans for orthopedic patients.
- Provide patient education and support for surgical procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
- Monitor and document patient progress, ensuring accurate records.
- Stay informed on current orthopedic research and best practices.
Job Requirements:
- RN license (NY only).
- BLS (American Heart Association only).
- ACLS (American Heart Association only).
- Minimum 2 years of orthopedic experience.
- Telemetry experience required.
- Experience in a Level 1 trauma facility preferred.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
