About the Opportunity:
This position involves providing nursing care in the radiology outpatient unit at a brand new ambulatory orthopedic center. Responsibilities include preparing patients for CT, MRI, and nuclear medicine studies. This is a full-time contract position, requiring excellent critical thinking and IV skills. Experience with contrast administration is a plus. The schedule consists of 40 hours per week, with 8-hour shifts during evenings from 1:30pm to 10pm, and occasional weekends. No holiday or night shifts are required.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $57.75 to $68.25 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments and prepare them for diagnostic imaging procedures.
- Provide care in line with CT, MRI, and nuclear medicine study protocols.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress and reaction to contrast materials.
- Stay informed on advancements in radiology care and contrast imaging.
Job Requirements:
- RN License (New York ONLY).
- BLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY).
- Minimum of 1 year of ICU experience.
- Telemetry experience required.
- Excellent critical thinking and IV skills.
- ACLS and PALS certifications (preferred).
- Experience with contrast imaging (preferred).
