About the Opportunity:
This is a full-time contract position for a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) providing critical care to patients with complex medical needs. The role includes nursing care for Neuro/Med, CTICU, and Surgical/Trauma patients with conditions such as strokes, sepsis, cardiogenic shock, and more. Nurses in this position float to various units, excluding Behavioral and ER. Shift hours are from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $48.85 to $57.73 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting patient assessments and creating individualized care plans.
- Providing specialized therapy and patient education.
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress and treatment outcomes.
- Staying informed on the latest research and practices in critical care nursing.
Job Requirements:
- Current AHA ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in ICU, SICU, CTICU, Trauma ICU, MS ICU, or Neuro ICU.
- Travel experience required.
- Two recent ICU Charge/Manager RN references.
- Experience with CRRT and Prismaflex; heart experience highly preferred.
- Active NY RN license and NURSYS report for all active RN licenses.
- Experience with EMR systems, specifically EPIC.
