About the Opportunity:
In this Echo Sonographer role, you provide diagnostic expertise through performing echocardiograms on a diverse patient population, including neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. This part-time contract position ensures accurate imaging and assessment using GE equipment. You work in a supportive community hospital environment every third weekend with call coverage Monday through Friday every other week.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $43.45 to $51.35 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) are finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct echocardiographic assessments and create accurate diagnostic images.
- Provide imaging for routine and complex anomalies and post-surgical repairs.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including IV Teams and Respiratory Services, for optimal patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress accurately using the Epic charting system.
- Stay informed on latest practices in echocardiography and patient imaging techniques.
Job Requirements:
- ARDMS and BLS certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a community hospital setting.
- Experience with GE equipment required; LTAC and Trauma Level I & II experience preferred.
- Proficiency in 2-D, 3-D Echo, and related echocardiography skills.
- Effective communication and organization skills are essential.
