About the Opportunity:
This full-time contract position focuses on providing care for women and healthy newborns, with an emphasis on education and supportive care for mother-baby couples. RNs in this role collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, lactation consultants, fellow nurses, and social workers to deliver the highest quality care within a culture of teamwork that values integrity, compassion, accountability, respect, and excellence.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $51.15 to $60.45 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting assessments and creating individualized care plans for mothers and newborns.
- Providing education and support to new mothers on postpartum care and breastfeeding.
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care coordination.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress and responses to care plans.
- Staying informed on the latest research and practices in maternal and newborn health.
Job Requirements:
- RN License (NY ONLY).
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in postpartum care.
- BLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY).
- Neonatal Resuscitation certification required.
- Fetal monitoring certification preferred.
