About the Opportunity:
This contract position offers Registered Nurses (RN) the opportunity to provide exceptional care in the Operating Room (OR) setting. This position is based in Oakland, CA, and involves working with pediatric patients across various surgical disciplines. The nurse works full-time, ensuring patient safety and delivering quality care within a multidisciplinary team environment.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $56.65 to $66.95 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting pre-operative assessments and creating care plans.
- Providing perioperative nursing care and education to pediatric patients and their families.
- Collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
- Monitoring and documenting patient responses during surgical procedures.
- Staying informed on the latest practices in pediatric surgery and OR procedures.
Job Requirements:
- BLS and PALS certification required.
- BSN and CA license required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Peds General OR.
- Preferred experience in Ambulatory OR, CVOR, General OR, Peds CVOR, Trauma Level I.
- Experience with the Epic charting system required.
