About the Opportunity:
This part-time contract position for a Registered Nurse (RN) in the operating room (OR) focuses on handling Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery (OHNS), Craniotomy procedures, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS), Plastic Surgery, Dental Surgery, and other complex surgical cases. The role entails the ability to float to other UCSF Facilities as needed.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $56.65 to $66.95 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting assessments and creating care plans for various surgical procedures.
- Providing specialized care in Otolaryngology, Craniotomy, and other related surgeries.
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams such as interpretation services, radiology, pharmacy, and unit secretaries to coordinate care.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress using Epic charting system.
- Staying informed on current surgical techniques and practices.
Job Requirements:
- California RN License and BSN required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with previous travel assignment and expertise in scrub and circulate roles.
- Preferred certifications: CNOR, ACLS.
- Experience with charting systems such as Epic required.
- Previous charge experience and expertise in operating room procedures required.
- Teaching hospital experience required.
