About the Opportunity:
The Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) provides quality patient care to individuals experiencing acute illness or injury. Responsibilities include conducting patient assessments, creating and implementing care plans, and identifying life-threatening situations with prompt intervention. This is a full-time contract position in a fast-paced environment, offering opportunities for professional growth and learning.
The estimated base pay for these positions is $51.15 to $60.45 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments and create care plans.
- Provide emergency care and respond to life-threatening situations.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress effectively.
- Stay informed on best practices in emergency nursing care.
Job Requirements:
- Current NYS RN license.
- Certified in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
- Experience with MEDITECH and travel nursing.
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Critical Care and charge experience preferred.
- Ability to identify and intervene in life-threatening situations.
- Good problem-solving and leadership skills.
- IV, medication, and phlebotomy certification required during orientation.
- Must successfully complete lethal dysrhythmia exam during probation and be defibrillation certified within six months of employment.
