About the Opportunity:
The CT Technologist provides specialized care by performing CT scans for patients in various clinical settings including cardiac, oncology, trauma, pain management, and interventional cases. This position requires expertise in using GE and Siemens equipment and involves working primarily within a complex academic healthcare system with a level one trauma program in a 1,000-bed hospital. The role includes rotating through inpatient, outpatient, and ED areas, particularly in the cancer center with primarily oncology patients. This is a full-time contract position.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $52.25 to $61.75 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting specialized CT assessments and creating detailed care plans.
- Providing patient education and support regarding CT procedures.
- Collaborating with oncologists, trauma teams, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress and imaging results accurately.
- Staying informed on advances in CT technology and practice standards.
Job Requirements:
- ARRT-CT certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of dedicated CT experience in complex healthcare settings.
- Preferred experience in community hospitals and trauma level I settings.
- Proficiency with GE and Siemens equipment and PACS.
- Strong skills in starting peripheral IVs and preparation/administration of contrast media.
