About the Opportunity
We are partnered with a publicly-traded firm that is doing very well right now in the air mobility sector and growing fast! They are a mission-driven, technology-powered global urban air mobility platform that is looking for a Global Corporate Controller to manage a team of four in New York City and three in France. This role reports directly to the CAO and works alongside the Director of FP&A, Director of SEC Reporting and the Director of Internal Audit. The ideal candidate is someone proficient in Netsuite who has prior experience leading a team.
The annual base salary range is $180,000 to $225,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Process improvement
- Understand the various accounting processes globally
- ensure efficiency and/or usage of advanced tools, automation when it makes sense
- Design new reconciliations or procedures when necessary
- Provide ad hoc analyses to management
- Review work performed by the NY and Europe managers
- Lead the global monthly close coordinating with the NY, Arizona and Europe teams
- Ensuring the integrity of the monthly consolidated financial statements
- Ensuring the team follow SOX procedures
- Managing, training and hiring team members
- Oversight of various international, state, and local statutory/regulatory and tax filings
- Main contact with company auditors
- Oversee the banking authorization matrix
Job Requirements
- 8-17 years experience
- CPA required
- Public-private combo
- Must have experience with Netsuite
- Onsite 5x per week
