About the Opportunity:
Join our team as a Registered Nurse in the Neurology unit, where you provide specialized care to patients with neurological conditions such as stroke, epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis, and Guillain Barre Syndrome. This full-time contract position involves working with an interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment, leveraging your nursing skills and critical thinking abilities. You participate in a comprehensive care approach at a Joint Commission accredited Comprehensive Stroke Center and the only Level 4 Epilepsy Monitor Unit in the region.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $50.60 to $59.80 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct neurological assessments and create care plans.
- Provide specialized therapies and education for patients with neurological conditions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
- Monitor and document patient progress using advanced technology.
- Stay informed on current neurological research and practices.
Job Requirements:
- Registered Nurse License (NY License ONLY).
- Minimum two years of experience in telemetry.
- BLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY).
- NIHSS certification highly preferred.
