About the Opportunity:
This contract position offers Registered Nurses the chance to work in the Emergency Room (ER) providing critical care to patients with a variety of medical emergencies. The role includes conducting thorough assessments, managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction, and administering procedural sedation. The ER at this location is a Level 1 Trauma Center, which requires expertise in triage, continuous IV sedation, and interpreting dysrhythmias. This is a full-time contract position, typically consisting of 12-hour variable shifts.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $51.70 to $61.10 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and create emergency care plans for patients.
- Provide continuous IV sedation and manage dysrhythmias.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress and response to treatments.
- Stay informed on emergency nursing practices and procedures.
Job Requirements:
- Valid California RN License and BSN degree.
- Certifications in AHA BLS, ACLS, NIH, and PALS.
- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience.
- Previous travel assignment experience required.
- Preferred experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center and triage skills.
